Description in English: Shrek is an ogre who lives in a swampy home. One day Shrek's parents tell him to leave the swamp to go see the world and do some damage. Soon after Shrek leaves he meets a Witch who gives him a fortune to go wed a princess. After receiving his fortune, Shrek sets off on a journey to find the princess. Along the way he meets a pheasant carrying peasants, fights a whopper of a dragon, has bad dreams about happy little children, meets a jabbering donkey, fights a fearless knight, and gets lost in a hall of mirrors filled with ugly Shreks. Shrek is not phased by the fact that his ugliness overwhelms everyone he meets. In fact, he loves being so repulsive! When Shrek finally meets his stunningly ugly princess they instantly fall in love, get married, and live horribly ever after. 

Descripción en español: Shrek es un ogro que vive con sus padres. Un día, éstos le dicen a Shrek que se vaya a ver mundo y hacer daño por ahí. Poco después de partir, Shrek se encuentra con una bruja que le lee el futuro: se casará con una princesa. Encantado con las perspectivas, Shrek sale en busca de la princesa. Por el camino lucha contra un enorme dragón, contra un valiente caballero, tiene pesadillas sobre niñitos felices, conoce a un burro que no para de hablar, y se pierde en un salón de espejos repleto de horripilantes Shreks. A Shrek no parece importarle demasiado el hecho de que su fealdad asuste a todo el que se encuentra. De hecho, ¡le encanta ser así de repugnante! Cuando finalmente Shrek conoce a su impresionantemente fea princesa, es amor a primera vista, se casan y viven horribles para siempre.

Description in English: The Night Pirates is the story of Tom, a nice, brave little boy who goes off on an adventure. He is in bed when he hears "them" coming down his street and climbing up his house. Who might they be? Trolls? Monsters? No! They're pirates! "Rough, tough little girl pirates", coming to steal the front of Tom's house as disguise for their boat. Tom joins them on their boat and sails across the seas to an island where a bunch of lazy grown-up pirates are sleeping next to their treasure chest. The captain warns his men he's seen a house, but they ignore him and keep on snoring until it's too late and the girl pirates, Tom and his ever so wild cat jump out of the house-boat, take the treasure and sail away, paying no attention to the captain's worst pirate curse: "If you don't give me my treasure back, I'll tell my MUM!" They arrive back to Tom's house and "stealthy as shadows, quiet as mice", put back the front of his house. Tom goes back to bed and to sleep after his exciting adventure, thinking nobody will ever find out about it. Descripción en español: La noche de los piratas es la aventura de Tom, un niño pequeño simpático y valiente, que está en la cama cuando oye a alguien bajando por su calle y subiendo por su casa. ¿Quién será? ¿Serán trolls? ¿Monstruos? ¡No! ¡Son piratas! Niñas piratas duras y rudas que vienen a robar la fachada de la casa de Tom como camuflaje para su barco. Tom les acompaña en su barco y navegan por los mares hasta una isla en la que una panda de piratas adultos vagos y panzudos duermen al lado de su tesoro. El capitán advierte a sus hombres de que ha visto una casa, pero éstos le ignoran y siguen roncando hasta que es demasiado tarde y las niñas piratas, Tom y su salvajísimo gato se apean de la casa-barco, cogen el tesoro y vuelven a marcharse, sin prestar atención alguna a la peor maldición del capitán: "Como no me devolváis el tesoro, ¡me chivo a mi MAMÁ!"
